A local restaurant owner is set to mark National Rice Week by fundraising for The Princess Alexandra Hospitals Charity.
Karim Ullah, the owner of Brohmon, an Indian cuisine restaurant, located in Stansted Mountfichet, is inviting people to try an array of delicious rice-based dishes throughout the event.
Funds raised during the week from Monday 14 – Sunday 20 September will be donated to The Princess Alexandra Hospitals Charity gastroenterology fund, to help purchase special equipment and enhance patient care and experience.
Karim said: “The hospital have provided high quality care and support for me and my family over the years, I spent many weeks at PAHT after recovering from major surgery. The staff were amazing and helped me to recover and return to a normal and healthy life.
“We hope that the fundraiser shows a token of our appreciation for the care that I have received. It is also an opportunity to thank the staff for their hard work in the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19).
